Budget 

The Collier County Sheriff's Office operates on a fiscal year of October 1 to September 30. Eighty percent of the agency budget pays for the salaries and benefits of more than 1,300 members.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office staffs and operates the jail and is responsible for courtroom security. At the end of the fiscal year, any unspent funds are returned to the Board of County Commissioners.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office is audited by an independent audit firm each year.
