The Citizens Academy is a program to educate the public about the Sheriff's Office.
Citizens Academy:
Classes start January 2025
Classes are every Tuesday for 11 weeks from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Please note: While the Professional Development Center will be the site of the first class and some subsequent classes, the Citizens Academy will also include off-site classes that will convene at the Naples Jail Center, CCSO's Special Operations facility and the Collier County Emergency Services Center.

Advanced Citizens Academy
Classes are every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This is an eight-week course that takes an in-depth look into topics that are touched upon in the regular Citizens Academy course. Topics will include:
- Gangs
- Special Weapons and Tactics
- The History of the CCSO and the Naples Jail Center
- Judicial Services
- Investigations
- Youth Relations Bureau
- Homeland Security
The Advanced Citizen's Academy is held every other year.
Classes take place every Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Professional Development Center, 615 3rd Avenue South, Naples.
