The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with Boys & Girls Club of Collier County to raise awareness of its after-school programs available for students between the ages of 6 and 18.
CCSO will host a public reception for the 22nd installment of the CommUNITY Gallery on Thursday, Jan. 19, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The gallery is located within the administrative offices on the second floor of CCSO headquarters, 3319 U.S. 41 E., East Naples.
The CommUNITY Gallery will feature 12 printer ink images designed by students aged 7-11 years old.
The BGCCC is dedicated to promoting the education, vocational and health leadership and character of boys and girls in a safe environment. The Club offers award-winning programs to help youth build self-esteem and values.
Nearly 83 percent of the BGCCC members receive free or reduced lunch, 48 percent come from homes where English is not the main spoken language, 34 percent live in single-parent households, and 63 percent live at, or below, poverty level.
The exhibit will be on display to the public through April 14, 2017.
